What is it about xbox articles that attract you here? You really are interested, or it's your goal to have everyone have what you have? I don't get the fanboy mentality. This is not an attack, I study psychology and am fascinated by this behavior from both sides.
If Google buys it you might as well call it the NSA Xbox. They've been doing some shady things with our info as of late. Has anyone seen the two giant barges floating around San Francisco and Portland? They are storing data on these things and taking them out into international waters for some reason. They call them "interactive learning centers", but who's learning what?
Once more people see Windows 8 show up on their PCs, they will start to recognize the metro look when shopping for phones and tablets, it'll be a slow burn but I think this is their strategy. And Bing is in the XB1 UI as well as on the tablets and phones, so those customers will probably start using Bing on PCs more. Just my two cents, but I think they would be wrong in dropping Bing.
Also, didn't iPhone drop google maps in favor of Bing maps recently? Seems like that...
